Azeem has always been passionate about development and impact. He has recently completed his undergraduate degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, India. During his college, he has taken multiple initiatives to solve the pressing problems of the development world. He led a team of 70 to solve the water crises of India. Project Asbah, the project that he led, aimed at solving the issues related to accessibility, availability and affordability of clean drinking water in urban slums and rural households. He and his team worked with 13 communities, across 3 states of India; impacted around 35,000 lives; and empowered 32 women entrepreneurs. The project was applauded by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Drinking water and sanitation of India. He represented his project on a global stage at World Water Race Impact Competition in California in 2019 - the project won the competition out of 120+ global projects in water and sanitation and was awarded the title of The Best Water Project in the world. Continuing his passion for the development space, he worked with leading consulting firms and the government of India on multiple development projects. Currently, he is working with the Central Square Foundation that works in the education sector. As a Lead Research Project Officer with the Global Fundraising & Growth team, Azeem is looking forward to applying his learnings at a global level and work in collaboration with the brightest minds across the globe.
